Statement of Faith

We believe that God created the universe and everything contained within it. We believe that it is through God, and God alone, that humans have the potential to reach the pinnacle of development which God has planned for us since the beginning. We accept that God has a plan for us and believe that it is our responsibility to follow God’s will as it is revealed to us. We believe that there is no conflict between true understanding of God and true understanding of science. We believe that the study of science is also the study of God.

We believe the tasks involved in tending to the fruits, vegetables, plants, herbs, and flowers of a garden lead us closer to God and provide insight with regard to how humanity can create a
more spiritually evolved society. Gardening produces predictable results. The first step in gardening is to assess what will grow best in the garden we intend to create. Next, the soil must be made ready to plant the selected seeds. Then the chosen seeds must be carefully planted and nurtured. Weeding is necessary to insure the intended growth of the garden. Each plant has it own season and should be harvested so as to promote the Church’s mission.

We believe that as part of its spiritual mission and religious beliefs the Church of the Gardens must minister to and protect one another so that all can prosper and receive the bounty of the garden. The Church of the Gardens has created ministries, and will create more ministries, to protect, empower, and enhance the opportunities of all to prosper, including the hungry, the sick, the poor, the homeless, the indebted, the enslaved, the vulnerable, and all others denied their rights to share the growth of the gardens.

We invite all persons, regardless of their core religious beliefs to join Church of the Gardens’ quest to promote social, spiritual, and economic empowerment and opportunity worldwide. Church of the Gardens is an inclusive faith, which seeks to affiliate with all other churches, faith-based organizations, associations, secular corporations, and individuals in a manner consistent with our mission to create a spiritual movement to empower the world’s people to achieve their inalienable God-given natural rights. Such rights include, but are not limited to, the right to live freely, with dignity.

We proclaim that it is a core belief of the Church that all who serve in the garden, contribute to this Church’s mission, or are born into this world should share in the garden’s bounty, which includes foodstuffs, plants, and herbs created by God. The Church shall create methods and/or enter into agreements with faith based organizations to distribute produce from the garden to Church members and all others who require or seek sustenance and healing.

The Church understands there is presently too much inequality between the world’s nations and peoples. The vast disparity of resources and economic wealth is among the foremost evils of the twenty-first century.

This Church intends to oppose this evil and pursue its missions aggressively. To this end our beliefs require us to grow, train, develop, and support leaders in our communities, nations, and world who will actively pursue this Church’s mission.

It is a core belief of this church that its spiritual and religious purposes cannot be achieved
without political and legal activism. Accordingly, it is a part of this Church’s faith that it will engage in those political and legal activities necessary to promote these spiritual beliefs.
